What We Do
God is currently taking us through a transition period from serving with Reef to Outback, YWAM in Townsville Australia to Calgary, Canada where we will continue to serve in missions.
Below is a list of the roles God has called us to as we serve Him and the nations through our missions work.
IT AND COMMUNICATIONS
Bill has a wonderful gifting and passion in this area. As a result of serving 10+ years with YWAM in Townsville, Australia, the ministry witnessed some incredible advancements in the area of technology (outlined below). As a result, we saw hundreds of young people become trained, equipped and then sent to the nations to hear about God. It sure is a privilege to serve God and be reminded of what He has helped us accomplish for His kingdom.
- Managed 60 Workstation / 12 Server Network
- Created and Managed 12 Ministry Websites
- Managed a 48 Handset Telephone System
- Introduced GENESIS to YWAM Australia (video conferencing)
- Pioneered GENESIS School in Australia
It is no surprise that as God calls us to Canada, Bill will continue ministering in his giftings of IT and Communications.
YWAM CALGARY
We will be joining the staff here once we have made the move to Canada. Bill will help in the area of IT and Communications and as a family we will begin to build relationships with our new YWAM family.
INTERNATIONAL CHAIRMAN’S TEAM (ICT)
Based out of Harpenden in the UK, the ICT serves Youth With A Mission International by facilitating the role of Lynn Green, the International Chairman of YWAM. One of the Chairman’s roles is to maintain proper communication between the different decision making bodies in YWAM. The team that supports Lynn work on global website projects, devise and deliver global prayer initiatives for the mission as well as help to break down isolation amongst the over 1250 YWAM locations around the world, connecting them via means of technology. Bill will be joining this team and will serve on a virtual basis from Canada.
FAMILY LIFE
Family is our number one priority and we are passionate about modelling a healthy family life to those around us, but most importantly to our children. Tamara is in the season of full-time mothering so most of her energies go into the children, the home and the personal communications we enjoy doing with our ministry partners.
18 YEARS combined of serving in YWAM has seen us in many varied roles at different times. Below is a brief of the other roles we have played since we first joined missions:
